Frequently Asked Questions

DraftPics is a Windsor-based sports photography company creating bold, custom sports portraits for athletes and teams. Our goal is simple: make every athlete look like a superstar.

We don’t offer rushed, cookie-cutter sports photos. Every athlete is photographed with care, and every image is hand-created for a polished, dramatic result. We also handle support directly, so organizations are not left managing photo-related issues on our behalf.

DraftPics is based in Windsor, Ontario. When pickup is required, orders are collected from our Forest Glade location.

No, we do not send proofs.

Our images are custom-created and highly stylized, and to help prevent screenshot theft, proofs are not provided. A sample image style is shown on the order page so families understand the general look of the final product before ordering.

We work hard to earn that trust. Parents and coaches are welcome to observe during PhotoDay, and each athlete is photographed using professional lighting and expert posing. The final image reflects the same bold DraftPics style shown in our sample imagery.

Visit the DraftPics ordering page, choose your organization, select your products, and complete checkout by entering the athlete’s information carefully.

Please enter the athlete’s full name, organization, team or division, jersey number, and jersey colour. The information provided at checkout is what we use to create the order, so accuracy is very important.

In many cases, yes. However, once an organization’s deadline has passed, orders may no longer be returned through the team and may instead be handled through pickup.

No. There is never pressure to order. But if you love the DraftPics experience and want a keepsake that really showcases your athlete, we’d be honoured to create something special for you.

“Processing” usually means your order is in queue awaiting creation and/or lab submission. Because every order is created individually, many orders remain in this stage while they are being worked through.

Pickups take place from our Forest Glade location in Windsor. If your order is eligible for pickup, instructions will be sent by email.

This means your image has been created and submitted to the lab for printing

This means the order has been fulfilled. For digital products, this often means the file has already been emailed. For physical products, distribution or pickup may still apply depending on when the order was placed.

This means your order is ready and pickup instructions have been sent for collection from our Forest Glade location.

Athletes are photographed individually using professional studio lighting and a chroma key background. From there, we hand-create the finished sports portrait with custom effects and design.

Not always. Many team photos are created using composites made from individual player images. This often creates a cleaner final result and provides more flexibility when needed.

Not necessarily. Because composite team photos can be built from individual images, there is often more flexibility than with traditional group photography.

Yes. Parents and coaches are welcome to oversee the process.

Orders placed before an organization’s deadline are often returned through the organization or coach for distribution. Orders placed after the deadline are typically handled through pickup.

In some cases, completed orders are distributed through the organization rather than directly to each family. If your order is marked complete, it may already be with your coach or organization contact.

No. Same-day pickup is not available. Pickup requests must be made at least one day in advance.

Please contact us through the website as soon as possible. Incorrect athlete details, jersey numbers, team names, or organization selections can affect the creation and delivery of the order.

An order hold means something is preventing us from completing the order. Common reasons include incorrect player details, the wrong organization being selected, or missing information at checkout.

Please contact us through the website and explain the issue clearly. We will review it and do our part to make it right where appropriate.

No. DraftPics handles customer support directly, which means parents can contact us instead of relying on volunteers or team staff to solve order problems.
